ΘΕΜΑΤΙΚΑ ΠΕΔΙΑ ΕΡΕΥΝΑΣ

Εργαστήριο Περιοδοντολογίας - Έρευνα

Το Εργαστήριο Περιοδοντολογίας διεξάγει εργαστηριακή και κλινική έρευνα σε θέματα που αφορούν τη βιολογία και την παθολογία των περιοδοντικών ιστών, τη μικροβιολογία της περιοδοντικής νόσου, τα υλικά ανάπλασης, τα υλικά εμφυτευμάτων και τις κλινικές τεχνικές. Η έρευνα πραγματοποιείται στις κλινικές και στα ερευνητικά εργαστήρια της Σχολής, καθώς και σε συνεργασία με ακαδημαϊκά κέντρα της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού. Οι μεταπτυχιακοί φοιτητές συμμετέχουν στον σχεδιασμό και στην εκπόνηση των μελετών μέσω της διπλωματικής τους εργασίας.

  • Συσχέτιση των περιοδοντικών νόσων με τα συστηματικά νοσήματα (πχ σακχαρώδης διαβήτης, καρδιαγγειακά νοσήματα, ρευματοειδής αρθρίτιδα, χρόνια νεφρικά νοσήματα, χρόνια αποφρακτική πνευμονοπάθεια, επιπλοκές εγκυμοσύνης).

  • Αξιολόγηση διαφορετικών χειρουργικών τεχνικών και ποικίλων οστικών μοσχευμάτων ή μοσχευμάτων μαλακών ιστών στη διατήρηση των διαστάσεων των μετεξακτικών φατνίων, στην αντιμετώπιση οστικών βλαβών και στην αύξηση των μαλακών ιστών γύρω από εμφυτεύματα.

  • Επίδραση της θεραπείας της περιεμφυτευματίτιδας στο μικροβίωμα της περιεμφυτευματικής σχισμής και σε βιοχημικούς δείκτες στο περιεμφυτευματικό ουλικό υγρό. 

  • Μελέτη των μεταβολών της επιφάνειας των εμφυτευμάτων  και της απελευθέρωσης σωματιδίων τιτανίου μετά τη θεραπεία της περιεμφυτευματίτιδας.

  • Επίδραση των Laser στα κύτταρα του περιρριζίου, των ινοβλαστών και των οστεοβλαστών.

  • Μελέτη των αντιμικροβιακών και αντιφλεγμονωδών ιδιοτήτων των στοματικών διαλυμάτων.

  • Συσχέτιση περιοδοντικής νόσου και διατροφής.

  • Περιοδοντικές και οδοντικές εκδηλώσεις ατόμων με γενετικά σύνδρομα.

  • Μελέτη της κακοσμίας στην περιοδοντίτιδα.
